Sekilas tentang Bapak Alisjahbana Haliman :

Alisjahbana  is the Founder and CEO of PT Haldin Pacific Semesta, an Indonesian manufacturer, a leader in natural ingredients. He won the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2018 award. In 2012, he was also awarded the Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie Technology Awards (BJHTA). Pak Ali became the only “business person” who won this prestigious award.
 
The journey began when Pak Ali started his business in New Jersey, USA when he was only 22 years old. Initially, as an importer of vanilla beans from Indonesia for the United States market. Today, his company exports natural ingredients to world’s leading consumer brands in industries such as food and beverage, flavor and fragrance, health food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic with locally sourced as well as processed products.  
 
His first trip to Sumba in 2017 was where he witnessed beauty and poverty intertwine with each other. This has led to an inspiration for Pak Ali to realize his intend to “give it back to the society”. His desire to make an impact to the community is what motivates him to create this social enterprise called Talasi.
 
Talasi is about exploring and discovering potential of the natural products in where they are grown. Its goal is to give added value not only to the product itself, but also to all its stakeholders such as farmers, vendors and to last but not least, solve social issues within the community.

He resides in Jakarta, married with three daughters (one is an ACS alumni). In his spare time, lives in his distillery @karusotju near Mount Batukaru, Bali, nurturing “the Bali’s finest distilled spirit”.
